1 Tsp. vanilla extract

For the chocolate coating

1 cup cocoa butter, raw

1 cup cocoa powder, raw

½ cup rice malt syrup

How to prepare:

  • There are two main stages to this recipe – preparing the filling and the coating. For the filling, mix the Spirulina Powder, soaked cashews, rice malt syrup, and vanilla extract using a blender. This has to be left in the freezer for around an hour until they become more solid.
  • Once it is hard enough, scoop teaspoons of the mixture and roll them to form small-sized balls. Line them up over a tray with non-stick or grease-free paper.
  • Now you’re done preparing the filling, it’s time to get through the coating. Use a bain-marie or a container on top of a pan to melt the cocoa butter while whisking in the cocoa powder and rice malt syrup. Combine them well.
  • Just like deep-frying food, place the Spirulina cream balls into the chocolate mixture and start rolling them around until fully coated. Line the finished ones over the tray with the greaseless paper.
  • Once done, take them to the freezer for a good 45 minutes and serve cold. You and your children will surely enjoy them.
